TRECA Reading Ranger

Program Overview

The Reading Ranger program is designed for students grades K-6 to practice their reading skills. The student will begin by taking a pre-assessment. Based on their results, they will receive an online lesson pathway customized to their needs.

Registration

Before registering, take a moment to explore i-Ready. Additional information is provided below. After you review the system requirements, it's as easy as completing the online registration and submitting payment!

Getting Started

After you you've completed registration, download the i-Ready Quick Start Guide and keep it on hand. An email with your username and password will be sent to you the day before the program starts. The program will be available starting on June 14, 2017. Make sure to log in on the first day of the program. I-READY GUIDE

Program Completion

At the end of the program, the student takes a post-assessment. The results are provided to the student's home district for continued use and instructional planning. We'll also provide a short survey, because we always love feedback!

i-Ready is a third-party learning platform approved by the Ohio Department of Education. It's a powerful tool that helps us develop a curriculum pathway unique to your student!

Here's everything you need to know:

Technical Requirements

Windows User

Recommendations in italics.

  • Operating Systems: Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows 10
  • Browsers: Firefox (latest), Internet Explorer 10 or higher, Chrome (latest) (NOTE: Pop-up blockers must be disabled.)
  • Minimum Processor/Memory: Intel® Pentium 4 2.33 GHz; 1 GB RAM; Video - 128 MB or more
  • Connectivity: High speed internet access. Satellite internet not recommended due to connection outages.

Mac User

  • Operating Systems: Mac OS X 10.7 or higher
  • Browsers: Firefox (latest), Safari 6.1 or higher, Chrome (latest) (NOTE: Pop-up blockers must be disabled.)
