Spring testing is just a couple months away! To help get ready, we’re offering TRECA Digital Academy students the option to attend test prep sessions. Sessions will be available to students in all grades and will be completely online. Oh, and did we mention you can earn some pretty cool rewards too?

Online Sessions

We’ll be hosting a series of online opportunities to help prepare for testing. There are three types of online missions. Students may choose to attend one, two, or all three. Don’t forget, the more sessions you attend, the more Gator Gold you'll earn!

Teacher-Led Missions

Teachers will be hosting weekly, online sessions focused on grade-specific content. Keep a lookout in your teacher's homeroom section of each of your courses in Brightspace, or check the schedule below.

Tutor-Led Missions

Any student who uses TRECA's tutoring service between February 17 and March 28 will earn Gator Gold to use in the TRECA Treasures store.

Study hard and earn rewards!

Not only will you boost test scores, but you could earn out-of-this-world incentives!

Students will receive Gator Gold when they participate in Solo Missions, Teacher-Led Missions, and Tutor-Led Missions. Gator Gold can be used in the TRECA Treasures store to purchase a variety of items including a speaker water bottle, a sand art kit, Squishmallows, and more! Gator Gold will be rewarded based on the amount of time a student participates in Launchpad.

  • 5 points (not to exceed 100 points total) for each hour that they complete of solo missions 
  • 5 points for each hour of tutor-led missions  
  • 5 points for each teacher-led mission (live session) that they attend

FAQs

Yes, test prep sessions count towards your total school day. However, keep in mind that you should still be working in your classes so that you are making progress towards completing them. You are still required to complete the 5 hours and 10 minutes per school day.

Gator Gold will be awarded periodically throughout Launchpad. Students can choose to save or spend Gator Gold just as they do now. The delivery process for items from the TRECA Treasures store can take up to two weeks.

Solo Missions are time spent within an online test prep program. Tutor-Led Missions are live sessions with a tutor available for select classes. To learn more about Tutor-Led Missions, visit treca.org/tutoring. The Teacher-Led Missions are live sessions in Google Meet with other students. They will be led by a TRECA staff member.

Teacher-Led Missions can be found above in the Session Schedule section of this page. Tutor-Led Missions are available on-demand. The Solo Missions can be completed at any time during the week, even on weekends!

Webcams and the use of the microphone are optional. There will be a chat box available.
