Students attend Marion Open House

On Thursday, September 26, TRECA Digital Academy students and their families attended an Open House at the Marion regional office in Marion, OH.

The Marion Open House was the first of 6 open houses taking place at each of TRECA’s regional offices. Students and their families enjoyed an afternoon of fun, visiting both fun and informational stations around the newly renovated building. Stations included tips and tricks for using the Evolve Portal, a check-in with school counselors, and one-on-one support from the Help Desk. A favorite station was the STEM activity that consisted of building a mock space capsule out of various supplies. The goal was to cushion the capsule’s fall and not let the marshmallow inside come out when dropped! Students were very creative with their space capsules! After students completed all of the stations, they received a TRECA t-shirt and school supplies, and indulged in ice cream sundaes from Riverside Ice Cream.
