Students visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame

On Thursday, March 28, TRECA Digital Academy students visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame opened in 1963, after the city launched a successful campaign for Canton to be its home. One of the major reasons Canton was chosen as the building site is because it is the birthplace of the NFL.

Students started the trip with a presentation about jobs in the NFL. They learned there are many more employees than players, coaches, and officials. Those employees are a big part of what makes the games run smoothly. Some of these jobs include art director, plumber, announcer, tax manager, seamstress, and director of football operations. Students also learned good grades can help them achieve their dreams of working in the NFL.

After the presentation, students took a scavenger hunt booklet to complete during the tour. Tour guides talked about the values of the Hall of Fame- commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence. Students explored the many exhibits the Hall of Fame has to offer, including the Hall of Fame Gallery where a life-size bust of every inductee is displayed.

Thank you to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and our volunteer tour guides for a great visit!
