On August 24, 2020, TRECA Digital Academy students returned to classes. While online classes remain the same, there are some new changes for this school year.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TRECA is limiting all face-to-face interactions among families and staff as much as possible. For those activities that must continue in person, TRECA is following all state and local guidelines, including limiting the number of people in office spaces, social distancing, and requiring a mask while in a TRECA facility. TRECA launched a new orientation format for new students this Fall, utilizing a new orientation course in Brightspace to minimize face-to-face contact further.
TRECA has also updated the student email system over the summer. The update means students will now use a TRECA-provided Google Mail account, which will give them an easier way to contact teachers and staff at TRECA while building email skills that will transfer beyond TRECA!
