Students Visit Gorman Heritage Farm

On September 28, TRECA Digital Academy students visited Gorman Heritage Farm in Cincinnati, OH.

Students were split into groups by grade level and taken on a guided tour of the farm where they learned about food sources, the history of the farm, food production, the business of farming, the different ways crops are used, and pollination. Many of the activities were hands-on, allowing students to taste honey, pick vegetables to taste, feed chickens, and plant seeds.
