Students Visit Blendon Woods Metro Parks

October 24, 2024

On October 17, TRECA students visited Blendon Woods Metro Park in Columbus, OH.

Students took a tram ride with a naturalist guide in Blendon Woods Metro Park where they learned about the park’s natural and cultural features. The metro parks are dedicated to habitat diversity and place nest boxes for screech owls around the property. Students also learned about how the ravines were formed and the kinds of animals that can be found within the metro parks. Families also explored the nature center and participated in an outdoor scavenger hunt.
