On May 17, TRECA Digital Academy students visited the Lowe-Volk Nature Center in Crestline, OH.
On the trip, each student had the opportunity to hold a madagascar hissing cockroach, American toad, tiger salamander, turtle, bearded dragon, black rat snake, and a corn snake! Students learned about the diets, habitats, and special adaptations of each animal. On a nature hike through the woods, we learned about flora and fauna, rock formations, and participated in a stream study. During the study, students waded in the Sandusky River to collect and identify macroinvertebrates!
