On September 5, TRECA students visited Back to the Wild in Castalia, OH.
Back to the Wild is a wildlife rescue and nature education center whose mission is to rehabilitate and release animals into their natural habitat. Their wildlife is usually injured, orphaned, or displaced. Students watched an amphitheater presentation with owls, hawks, and an eagle to learn about conservation, natural selection, food webs, animal habitats and adaptations, and more. Families then took a guided tour and met several animal ambassadors while learning how they can protect wildlife.
