On October 23, TRECA students visited Young’s Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs, OH.
Young's Jersey Dairy is famous for its Jersey cows, which produce milk that’s used to make a variety of dairy products, including ice cream, cheese, and yogurt. Students learned about agriculture, took a wagon ride, fed goats in the livestock petting barn, visited the Dairy Tale Theatre to watch a short educational video, and had the opportunity to milk ‘Jenny’ the model Jersey cow. Families ended the visit with a cup of Young's ice cream.
