TRECA Students Visit the National Veterans Memorial and Museum

On February 19, TRECA students visited the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, OH. 

The NVMM is the only museum in the U.S. that honors all veterans, from all branches of service, and from all eras of our nation’s history of military service, during both peacetime and wartime, and emphasizes the personal experiences of our veterans. On this guided tour, students took an in-depth look at veterans’ experiences. From why they serve, through coming home and transitioning to civilian life, families learned about veterans’ contributions through stories and artifacts. There were also several hands-on activities for students to participate in, including creating their own paratrooper or writing letters to veterans.
