TRECA Digital Academy Class of 2017 Graduation

Posted in Announcements and Events

On Sunday, June 4, we celebrated the class of 2017 at TRECA's 15th annual commencement ceremony! The ceremony was held at the Marion Palace Theater in Marion, OH. Hundreds of family, friends, and staff members filled the theater to celebrate and support the graduating class. The speaker was Amanda Messer, cofounder of Because I Said I Would, a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. Ms. Messer delivered an inspiring message to students about the importance of their commitment to themselves and others, both big and small. There were 143 students in this year's graduating class. We wish the best of luck to the class of 2017!

TRECA celebrates Digital Academy kindergartner's at graduation

Posted in Announcements and Events

On Thursday, May 25, we celebrated our TRECA Digital Academy kindergartner's at our 3rd annual Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony in Marion, OH. We had nine students participate in the ceremony and they brought over 50 friends and family to share in the special day with them! Each student received a certificate and the Dr. Seuss book, Oh The Places You'll Go. Following the ceremony, families enjoyed a small craft activity and refreshments. We had a great afternoon celebrating with our families! Congratulations to the entire 2017 kindergarten class! You have a lot to be proud of, and we can't wait to see what lies ahead for each of you. As Dr. Seuss says, "And you will succeed? Yes! You will, indeed!"

TRECA named a winner of Mawi Learning’s Powerful Educator Grant

Posted in Announcements

We're proud to announce that TRECA is a winner of a grant for Mawi Learning’s Powerful Educator blended professional development course. As one of 10 schools awarded grants, we join the other winners in supporting 10 educators who will put the growth mindset into action to inspire staff, transform student learning, and build a culture of success. The Powerful Educator course leverages the pioneering research from Dr. Carol Dweck and Mindset Works, the global leader in growth mindset training for educators and students, alongside Mawi Learning’s years of proven success.

Mrs. Bryant, Special Needs Director at TRECA, applied for and received the grant on behalf of TRECA. We are thrilled that Elisha and 10 additional TRECA staff members will have the opportunity to participate in the Powerful Educator blended professional development course. The knowledge they gain through this program will be instrumental in how we build a culture of success for our staff and our students at TRECA.
