Social Emotional Learning


What is SEL?

SEL stands for Social Emotional Learning. SEL skills help young people manage stress, handle difficult emotions, make big decisions, and build healthy relationships with others. You can learn more about SEL here. To learn SEL skills, students in grades K-5  will use the program Suite 360 and students in grades 6-12 will use the program BASE Education.

 

What is Suite 360?

Students in grades K-5 are invited to use the program Suite 360. Through fun, weekly adventures, students can grow and develop their SEL skills. Adult Learning Partners are encouraged to help their student work through the lessons each week.

Getting Started with Suite 360

To get started, you will log into Clever. Select Log in with Clever and then enter your Brightspace username and password.

Make sure the school district name is TRECA Digital Academy. If it is not, click Not Your District? and select TRECA Digital Academy in TRECA Digital Academy, OH from the school search list. Once you are logged in, go to More Apps and select Suite 360.

Next, click My Lessons and begin exploring and working in the lessons that are waiting for you!

 

What is BASE?

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to use the program BASE Education, which offers support for concepts that help students be successful in life and school. The content in this program supports things like mental health, self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, self-management, and responsible decision-making.

Getting Started with BASE

To get started, log into Clever. Make sure the school district name is TRECA Digital Academy. If it is not, click Not Your District? and select TRECA Digital Academy in TRECA Digital Academy, OH from the school search list.

Select Log in as a student in the top right-hand corner.

Select Log in with Clever, then enter your Brightspace username and password. Once you are logged in, go to More Apps and select BASE.  From here, navigate to the BASEline Survey.

BASE Education is only available Monday-Friday from 7:30AM - 3:30PM.

Adult Learning Partners are welcome to support students as they complete the BASEline survey. 

After you complete the BASEline survey, you will have access to online modules that were picked especially for you! Please note that if you have taken the BASEline survey within the past 90 days, there will not be a survey available. If this is the case, please log in and work through your suggested modules. A new survey will become available to you every 90 days. Please take the new surveys as they become available to track your growth and get new module recommendations.
