Plagiarism is copying the words or ideas of another person and passing them off as your own without naming the source from which you collected your information. As a TRECA student, you're required to log in to Brightspace and complete schoolwork every scheduled school day in order to be counted present. The guide below shows how much time you need to work on your schoolwork each day and week.
Daily time: 5 hours 10 minutes
Weekly time: 25 hours 40 minutes
If you don't complete 5 hours 10 minutes of work on a day, the time not completed must be made up during the week so that you have an overall weekly time of at least 25 hours 40 minutes. You can find the full Attendance Policy in the Student Handbook.
Tracking your hours can sometimes be confusing, but we have a guide and video explaining how to use the Attendance screen in the Evolve Portal!

Students need to complete 1 block of work every 3 weeks in order to earn credit and stay on pace. Students should plan to finish 5 credits in a full school year. To be successful, we recommend students meet with their teachers often.

This will prompt a TRECA administrator to review the student's progress and attendance. Most forms require the administrator to determine that the student is in good standing. At TRECA, this is confirmed by a thorough review of the student's progress in each course, as well as daily student time (5 hours and 10 minutes per school day).
*Please submit the form at least 3 business days in advance of when you need it returned.*

LEARN MOREWe know students are juggling a lot these days: family, friends, school, work, and extracurricular activities. It's completely normal to feel a range of emotions while trying to manage and tackle all these things. You may feel stressed, sad, lonely, or hopeless. It's also normal not to know how to handle these emotions. The SAFE team is committed to helping you stay in tune with your mental health, cope with the stresses of life, and realize your full potential. If you or someone you know may be struggling with their mental health, please reach out to a SAFE team member or a community resource for help.
