Using your Parent Login for Brightspace

Getting Started

To begin the process of accessing Brightspace with your parent log in, go to tda.brightspace.com and enter the log in information according to the guide below: 

  • The username will be based on the primary contact for the student. The username will follow this pattern: P.FirstnameLastname (ex. P.JohnSmith). 
  • The password will be the password of the youngest student enrolled when you first came to TRECA. For example, if you enroll a 14 year-old and a 12 year-old student during your first orientation, but later enroll a 9 year-old student, the password for your parent portal will be the 12 year-old student's password for Brightspace.

Checking Student Progress

Once logged in, you will see a similar page to the one that your student will see every school day. The main difference is that there is an Auditors section on the right side of the home page. Inside that section is a link labeled Students. Click on the Students link to pick which student's progress you would like to view.

Simply click the name of the student to view their progress.
