Switching the Student iPhone to the Relay

Student iPhones that are on our proxy filtering system will need to be switched to our new relay filtering system. There are 2 different ways this can be done.

Note: Some iPhones will not have the ability to use the first option and can only do option 2. You will need to try option 1 first, if you do not have the Erase All Content and Settings option then you will need to follow option 2.

Using Only the iPhone

Starting on the home screen of the phone, click Settings.

In the settings menu, click General.

Note: You may need to scroll down.

In the general settings menu, click Reset.

Note: You may need to scroll down.

In the reset settings menu, click Erase All Content and Settings.

Click Here For OPTION 2.

A small menu will pop up at the bottom of your screen, click Erase iPhone.

Note: After you do this the phone will reboot and you will need to set up the phone again.

Set Up after Reset

After the device resets, the phone will need be set up like new. You will start by clicking English.

On the Select Your Country or Region screen, click United States.

On the Quick Start screen, click Set Up Manually.

Now the phone will ask to connect to the internet. Click Use Cellular Connection.

Note: You can connect to your home Wi-Fi if you choose.

On the Remote Management screen, click Next in the upper right corner.

On the Keep Your iPhone Up to Date screen, click Continue.

On the Screen Time screen, click Continue or Set Up Later in Settings.

Note: This is just an iPhone feature that tells the user time spent on apps.

On the Welcome to iPhone screen, click Get Started. 

Once you are back into the phone it should be working as normal. There will still be apps downloading, which will take some time, but there is nothing else you need to do.
